BackVisual Day

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 10, 2026

This page explains what Visual Day ("the App") does with your information. The short version: what you plan stays on your phone, there are no accounts and no ads, and the only thing the App sends over the internet is a check for its own updates.

1. No Account Required

  • You don't need to sign up, log in, or link any account to use the App.
  • The App asks for a display name so it can greet you. That name stays on your phone.

2. What Stays On Your Phone

  • Your name, tasks, schedules, habits, brain dump thoughts and settings are stored only on your device.
  • The developer cannot see them. They are not uploaded, synced or sent to the developer or to anyone else.

3. Your Calendar (Only If You Ask)

The App can bring events in from the calendars on your phone and send your week out to a calendar of its own, named "Visual Day". It does this only when you press the button for it, and only after you give Android's calendar permission.

  • Events are read and written on your phone. The App does not send calendar information to the developer or to any server of its own.
  • If your phone syncs its calendars with an account such as Google, the "Visual Day" calendar is synced by your phone like any other calendar, under that provider's own privacy policy.
  • You can take the permission back at any time in Android's settings, and delete the "Visual Day" calendar in your calendar app.

4. Reminders and Widgets

  • Reminders and home screen widgets are created on your phone. The App does not use a push notification service.

5. Backups

  • "Save my road" makes a file with a copy of your data and hands it to Android's share screen.
  • It goes only where you choose to send it. The developer never receives it.

6. App Updates: The One Thing Sent Over The Internet

When the App starts, it asks a service called Expo (650 Industries, Inc.) whether a newer version of the App is available. That request contains:

  • a random ID created when the App is installed. It is not linked to your name, email address, phone number or advertising ID, and reinstalling the App creates a new one;
  • technical details: that the phone runs Android, the App's version, and which update it already has;
  • if an update failed to start, a short technical error message.

As with any internet request, Expo's server also sees your phone's IP address.

This information is used only to deliver updates, to count how many installs have each update, and to notice an update that fails. It is not used for advertising and is not sold. Expo's privacy policy: https://expo.dev/privacy

7. No Ads, Nothing Sold

  • The App shows no ads and contains no advertising or tracking tools.
  • Apart from the update check described above, nothing is measured or recorded about how you use it.
  • Your information is not sold, traded or shared with advertisers.

8. Deleting Your Data

  • Uninstalling the App, or clearing its storage in Android's settings, permanently deletes everything the App stored on your phone.
  • A "Visual Day" calendar, if you created one, stays in your calendar until you delete it there.
  • The random update ID cannot be linked to you, so there is nothing the developer could look up or delete on request.

9. Children

  • The App does not ask for or knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

10. Changes To This Policy

  • If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

11. Contact

  • Questions about privacy can be sent through the feedback form on this website.
